The machined custom quilting obscures (in the photos) the fact that the background fabric is in fact patterned. A self patterned cream on cream has been chosen by Kim. Quilting design remains within the background and outlines the applique. Some of the reverse applique shapes are also outlined to make them puff out. More vibrant loveliness!
